School

Ok so tonight we had are oldest son's conferences at school and of course it did not go as well as we had hoped it would.. I am so at a loss on what to do, we have tried everything we can think of and he still is not doing as good as we know he can do.. It is so frustrating.. This issue has been going on since 3rd grade..


I just wish it would get a little better.. I do have to say this was by far not the worst one we have been to.. I think the biggest thing is that he is not having problems because he is a bad student or goofs off in class, He just simply does not do all his work or homework.. The weird thing is he does do good on all his tests but that does not matter when 70% of your grade is based on classroom work.. He took his map test and scored 241 in the beginning of the year he scored a 228. He teacher told us she wanted to see at least a 5 point increase and he increased by 13 points WOW!!  She was so happy and expects to see it increase more at the end of the year when he take the MCA's.


So we went around with him to the two classes he did not do so good in and talked to the teachers to see what he needs to do to get those grades up and it is pretty simple why he just did not do it to begin with is beyond  me.. I really just do not get it, So here we go again because his grades are not where we want them he will loose his sim card for his phone until they improve.. Sometimes I wonder who that affects more us or him, It really sucks when he does not have his phone...


So once again the battle continues.....
